IGF 2016: Enabling Inclusive and Sustainable Growth

The 2016 Internet Governance Forum (IGF): ‘Enabling Inclusive and Sustainable Growth’, is scheduled to take place at the PALCCO Centre from 6-9 December 2016 in Guadalajara, MexicoThe 2016 overall programme and intersessional activities are being built in a bottom-up manner in consultation with the growing IGF multistakeholder community, with an aim to enhance participation from stakeholders from developing countries, youth and those joining the IGF online.

On the front burners were the issues of cross border trade between the African countries and the international market, mobile payment, mobile connectivity, accessibility, taxes, awareness, trust, capacity building, cost of devices and data. One of the key factors that changes the world today are infrastructures. Comparing the developed and developing to the least developing nation is the amount of infrastructure that is put in place. Going back to the olden days we would see the positive implication of infrastructure to the present. The amount of infrastructure in a country determines the status of that country.
